As it nears the end of summer and our warmer days are becoming limited, I see myself scrambling to put together the last of my summer outfits. There aren’t many sunny days left to show off our cute denim shorts and cropped tees, so here are a few ways we can keep that summer look even though it’s cooling down.
These two looks were pulled off with one simple, all black, sleeveless jumpsuit. The weather has started to drop a little here in Iowa so this jumpsuit is perfect for that warm, but cool and breezy weather. This jumpsuit speaks for itself with such a bold statement so pairing it with minimal accessories is key. In the first look we used the trendy bandana to add a little color pop and kept with the nikes to give off a more subtle, relaxed look. With the second look, we lost the bandana and threw on a denim hat. The white nikes with the baseball cap give us a more sporty look that vibes well with the chill summer days we have left.
This next looks sports a polo tank dress. Again, a very chill and relaxed look on the left – the black bandana giving us that statement piece and then in the look on the right we have a more sporty look. The same dress is underneath the overalls, but this look is such an easy and everyday look that anyone could pull off. Working with the same piece of clothing can give you multiple different outfits to choose from, so try recycling your wardrobe and get creative.
Finally, CROP SWEATSHIRTS !! Like I said before, it’s getting a little cooler here in the Iowa area so in order to stay comfortable without dressing for the fall yet, we paired this jumpsuit with a crop sweatshirt around the waist for when the breeze kicked in. We also kept it cool by pairing these pin striped shorts with it as well. The cropped sweatshirt is perfect to throw on when it gets chilly rather than our normal baggy, fall sweatshirts.
All of these outfits are simple and chill. It’s college season, football season, summer to fall season. It’s hard to drastically jump from our summer to fall wardrobes, so I hope these looks will help you think of more ways in which you can combine both wardrobes for those hot but chilly days.
