i've wanted to post this for so long !! this is something i created for an internship application // it was supposed to be a creative piece and i wanted to show how my brain works when it comes to styling. it's not about having a theme, it's not about having 'that' look, and it's not about following the crowd. it's about being able to adapt to anyone's style and helping them feel confident, it's about creating from a blank canvas and having fun with it, and it's about doing you and showing who you are through style. i love what i do and it will always be something different- never the same // be original.
innovative • inspiring • fast • passionate • strong
no full body, face, garments, words, or products from the brand were allowed to be shown. the brand is expressed through those five words stated above & through the elements of design // i decided to bend the rules and asked if i could take my own photos rather than tear up old magazines || these were styled and shot by me
Trend Magazine is a student ran, fashion magazine at Iowa State University.
My position: Editorial Styling Co-DIrector.
I was given the opportunity to co-direct the Editorial Styling Committee, which entailed the task of styling each of these outfits based on the stories that our editorial team wrote. I was able to sit down with each of the writers to talk about how he or she envisioned their piece and was then ready to pick models, find location, pull clothes, style outfits, and oversee the shoots for each story.
These are photos from my shoots only and were not photographed by me, but by photographers of that particular committee. This magazine is made up of several different committees and shoots that are not shown.
Trend Magazine is a student ran fashion magazine at Iowa State University.
My Position: Ready To Wear Director
This semester I directed the Ready to Wear committee for this magazine. The overall theme of the magazine was "Metallic Movement" and I decided to work with some metallic clothing but more so the confetti and things around the outfit. This was a very fun shoot that took place in studio and is very simplistic while still catching the eye.
The photos were take by the photography committee members and not myself.
Every photo was styled by me with the help of an assistant and the ideas of my lovely committee members.
Clothes were pulled from:
. Free People
. Portobello Road
. Urban Outfitters
